About

I've spent my career around books, but I've never been particularly interested in staying within one corner of the business.

A middle-aged man with a shaved head and gray beard, wearing a checkered shirt and a jacket, standing outdoors near a body of water at sunset.

I've been a bookseller, salesperson, marketer, custom publisher, publishing executive, publisher, and independent producer. Each role taught me to see a book differently. Together, they've given me a perspective that crosses the traditional boundaries between editorial instinct, creative development, sales, marketing, and commercial strategy.

What has remained constant is curiosity — about culture, people, ideas, audiences, and why certain things connect.

Today, I'm most interested in bringing that experience to projects selectively: developing ideas that intrigue me, working with talented people, making connections, and continuing to create books that are smart, engaging, visually compelling, and fun.

I like finding the idea.

And then figuring out how to make it work.
